Pack 1201 belongs to the Sam Houston Area Council (SHAC) of the BSA. You will often hear it referred to by its acronym, SHAC, pronounced as "shack".

The Sam Houston Area Council is divided into Districts. Pack 1201 is part of the Phoenix District. You will occasionally need to visit the Phoenix District website to register your scout for District-level events (for example, summer Day Camp).

Most Scouts will be working on their first award tonight....the Bobcat award! One of the requirements of that award is to go over the pamphlet in the scout handbook with your child. If you are saving money by not buying the handbook (perfectly OK), here is the link to the .pdf versions:
